Traveller, fitness junkie, but most importantly, TITIKA’s e-commerce manager, Emily Harvie embodies a healthy and active lifestyle. In our new #TITIKAxME campaign, we sat down with Emily to discuss her personal motivation and her participation in the CIBC Run For The Cure.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!
My name is Emily. I'm 24 years old, I'm from Toronto and I'm the e-Commerce Manager for Titika Active. In my spare time I'm either running, at the yoga studio or I'm probably running to the yoga studio. 

What's your favourite way to stay fit?
Yoga keeps me fit in every aspect of my life. Even after 5 years of practice I'm finding new challenges every time I role out my mat. Mentally, physically, and even spiritually - I use yoga to stay healthy and happy while also keeping anxiety at bay.

Who keeps you motivated?
The question for me isn't 'who' keeps me motivated - but what! I'm motivated by this intense obsession with creating the best life I possibly can. It isn't always easy. I've hit so many bumps in the road and some days it's a struggle to even find the motivation to get out of bed. My motivation through the good, the bad and the ugly is staying connected to the fire inside my heart - that excitement that drives me forward and pushes my boundaries.

What's your biggest accomplishment so far? 
I should probably talk about graduating school, or purchasing my first car ...I've even worked to raise thousands for charity. But as much as those are all challenging goals I've set for myself - they didn't have a greater impact than when I was 18 and backpacked through Europe with my brother. 
6 countries later and not only have I experienced new cultures but I've also learned a huge part of my European family history. Navigating the cobblestone streets of Europe (sans tour guide!) while fighting back jet lag and soaking up every experience that came my way, was as much an incredible gift as it was an accomplishment

What's something you're looking forward to?
I'm getting really excited for the CIBC Run for the Cure this year. I'm a huge supporter for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and I'm currently working to raise money for the cause. I lost my Grandmother and my Mom to breast cancer and my Aunt is a breast cancer survivor - so it's definitely a charity that is super close to my heart. As for long term? I'm looking forward to a future without breast cancer! ;)

Name 3 things you're loving right now!
1. Mustard! It's great on every skin tone and also on veggie burgers.
2. I can't tell if I want it more for underwater Snapchats or cordless ear buds but either way I'm dying to get my hands on the new iPhone 7!
3. Dolphin pose. The hope is that my shoulders will thank me later. 

What's a typical day like for you?
I'm a morning person, so my typical day starts early. Once I'm up, I get ready to hit the gym - first thing! Not only do I love the positive start to my day, but it also keeps me disciplined and focused. I mean, when you've ran over 2k before dawn - your brain (and glutes!) have no choice but to wake up. Tea and a vegan breakfast while browsing what's #trending, multifunctions as my cool down and an opportunity to check what's going on in the world. By 9:00am, I've settled in at the office and I'm ready for a day full of meetings, creating, or whatever else my day planner has scribbled down. 
By the time 5pm hits - I'm totally
craving my yoga mat. I go to the studio for an hour of practice before heading home for the night. From there, my night could be anything from curling up and reading a novel or running into the city to create photography with my boyfriend. I not only strive to learn something new everyday but I like to create new things on the daily as well.

Describe your personal style.
In a word - probably "dynamic". I love to stay on trend but my overall look is always active inspired. It has to be! Most days I'm going straight from the office to the yoga studio and I don't have time to change. I'll wear a high waist legging and a crop bra to work with a cardigan and some jewelry. Afterwards, I'll swap my jewelry for a yoga mat, the cardigan comes off and bam, I'm ready for some sun sal's! At the same time, I can't perform if I'm not feeling my outfit. That's why I love Titika so much - I can work, perform and stay on trend all in the same pair of leggings. 

Tell us something most people don't know about you.
I ran over 150km over the course of this passed summer. When I find a route that I love to run, I get really attached. I know the exact places to push myself and where I can ease back and enjoy the workout. Most people get my obsession with yoga but not as many people know that I love to run, too.
